Trip to Northern Italy

December 29 - January 9 | 2022

Milan is a thriving metropolis in the Lombardy region, known as a financial hub with its home to the national stock exchange. But Milan is much more than that, it is also known for its exquisite fashion sense and high end shops. We'll spend time in awe of the worlds largest Gothic Cathedral, admiring the beauty of the Last Supper Painting and strolling past the famous La Scala Opera House.

Lake Como

Lake Como is the most exquisite of the three lakes in the Lombardy Region, surrounded by the Swiss Alps on both sides. Bellagio is the picturesque town located at the middle of the three legs of Lake Como. Enjoy the breathtaking views of the lake while the cool breeze hits your face. Meander through its cobblestone streets filled with quaint stores, cafes and gelato shops. During our stay in Como, you will enjoy a cooking lesson of delicious regional cuisine.

Verona is known as the “city of love”, being famous as the setting of Shakespeare’s “Romeo and Juliet”, where you will see the famous “Juliet's balcony”. We'll take a ride to the Valpolicello Hills, where we will experience either a wine tasting at a winery, a visit to the medieval town of Soave for a white wine tasting in a castle, or a visit to an Oil mill for an olive oil tasting.

Moena, Dolomites

Bolzano is the entrance to the Dolomities and sitting in the town center you will be amazed by the spectacular views you have of the mountains. For a moment in Bolzano you may think you have left Italy and traveled to Germany with its beer, sauerkraut and German speaking crowds but this is just the wonderful marriage of the European and Mediterranean cultures. Located in the middle of the Dolomites, Moena is a picture perfect resort town. Knows as the pale mountains the Dolomites were formed into mountains during the Ice Age and are composed of calcium and magnesium. We will visit a museum in the afternoon and take a bus ride to enjoy the stunning panoramic views.

Truly a one of a kind city, Venice has 180 canals and 450 bridges connecting its 118 small islands. There are no roads, cars or vespas in Venice, only canals filled with singing gondoliers. Sights include the Gothic Doge’s Palace and the Basilica of San Marco with its Byzantine gold mosaics. Spend an afternoon wandering from palace to piazza shopping for Venetian glass and masks, or be serenaded while riding in a gondola.

Filomena and Kelly,
We had a wonderful trip, thanks to you. As usual, the planning was meticulous and perfect. Our tour guides and drivers were all terrific and the connections were all perfect.
Of course, Giuseppe was the star of the show and we truly felt like we were with family with him. You gave us some great suggestions with the food tour of Trastevere and the cooking class with Cristina.

They were both big hits with all of us. I was particularly impressed with Cristina, who took us shoping at the market, took us into her beautiful home, took us on a walking tour of her neighborhood in Aventino and spent the day cooking and eating with us. She was pleasant, charming and an outstanding chef and she made this an awesome experience.

Amalfi was incredible and the hotel was absolutely gorgeous - great suggestion. We really spent a lot of time exploring Trastevere and that was another side of Rome that we really loved. The hotel in Rome was incredible - beautiful, elegant and comfortable, the breakfasts were amazing and the WiFi worked.
The vacation was a resounding success. We look forward to doing this again next year.
Great job guys

Pat Cirullo
